Explorers’ Sleepout for Greenwich Winter Night Shelter Raises More Than £3,000

Date: 19th Jan 2025 Author: Deborah Dumville
This Saturday our Explorers slept out in cardboard boxes at Severndroog Castle to raise money for Greenwich Homeless Project.
Last year each “patrol” researched a charity that interested them and then the Unit voted on which they would support ⚜️ The Unit invited the Chief Executive of the charity to talk about the work of the charity. They also liaised with Severndroog Castle asking permission to hold the event there. You can find out more info about the charity here https://greenwichhomelessproject.org.uk/
Such an incredible thing to do at any time of year but particularly when the temperatures were 2 degrees, but felt more like -1!
There’s still time to donate: https://www.justgiving.com/page/sesusleepout2024
Well done to all involved.
