Welcome to new Trustee Kayla Vuong

Date: 28th Feb 2026 Author: Deborah Dumville

Kayla has lived in Shooters Hill since 2022. She’s Vietnamese and a mother to a 2 year old boy. As an ethnic minority parent raising a mixed-race child, she’s deeply motivated by the importance of a community that is inclusive and genuinely welcoming. Volunteering as a trustee for the XRE feels like a meaningful way to help shape that environment – one where all young people can feel supported, and empowered to thrive outside the classroom. Professionally, Kayla works as a Senior Programme Manager at NHS England, overseeing national health innovation programmes and ensuring they deliver value for public investment. She’s committed to the quest to improve health and care for all, starting from her degree in Neuroscience and a decade long career in the NHS and charity sector. Outside of work and being a mother, she enjoys cooking Vietnamese food, solving puzzles and board games, and exploring beauty and skincare—interests that keep her creative, curious, and grounded. Welcome Kayla!
